Today I had the priviledge of speaking with Marilu Henner! She starred with Tony Danza and Danny Devito on the late 1970’s early 1980’s show, Taxi! She has starred in various movies and been on Brrrooooooaaddwayyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is also know for being a HUGE advocate of healthy eating and living, she has written many health books, and has a website with health forums and discussions!
How did I get such an opportunity?!
A very very good family friend of ours, MB, works for Marilu
and has been a friend of hers for many years!
She read my blog yesterday and believes so much in what Marilu does that
she came over today to share Marilu’s heart and passion with my mom and I! We caught up for a while and half way through
talking about the books and the plan, she said, “Marilu wants me to call her
while I’m here, she wants to talk to you!”
WHAT? I said, “why would she want
to talk to me?!”
She dialed her up! No
answer….I thought in my head, I knew that was too good to be true! Why would she want to talk to me?!
The phone rang a minute later…Marilu didn’t have good phone
service at home and called right back, MB put me on the phone and I was a
little star struck! I didn’t want to do
the lame, “I’m such a big fan!!” BUT I
did in my head! We talked a little and
then she said, “I’m going to be calling and checking on you!” WHAT?!
ME?! WHY?! REALLY?!
The Plan
I am so thankful that someone who could help me, read my
blog and did it! She came and shared
with me a lifestyle that is natural and healthy and the way that God intended
our bodies to be!
This will be interesting.
I will be dairy free and red meat free for three weeks! It’s going to be a challenge as I
LOVEEEEEEEEEEE cheese and ice cream! But
I needed to cut that fatty stuff a while ago anyway! I will be exploring almond milk which I
tasted today and was sweetly surprised!
I had some dairy free egg nog!
Where was that last month when I needed it? I had some yummy butter, delicious healthy
chicken sausage and a couple other organic treats! I used to dog on some of this organic stuff,
but truly from God’s hands to our mouths, without all the processing junk!
I’ll blog EVERYDAY! I
promise!
Gotta catch me a taxi!

So AWESOME! Love her! Dairy free is SO hard when we are use to dairy. I will pray for you specifically about dairy. It was super hard to go dairy free when I was living in a farmers house. I know you can do it! After awhile it's like 2nd nature so don't give up or get frustrated (easier said than done I know)!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kristin! :-) I'm excited!
